MONT SAINT-MICHEL

At the origin, on the Mount Tombe, a Carolingian abbey was installed. At the beginning of the 8th century, it was replaced after the appearance of the Michaelmas archangel in Aubert, bishop of Avranches, which founded an oratory devoted to the archangel.
